ABSTRACT

Abstract sets things free. Without anything recognizable, the mind can drift and imagine, and you as the observer can create things in your own mind. Part of the wonder of abstract for me is hearing what people read into the work.

Sometimes I give little clues which can only be made out when viewed in real life and your eyes have adjusted. They’re like pointers to what’s on my mind. “Creation” is intertwined with around 100 creatures derived from San rock art, look carefully at the “The Return of the Game” and you’ll make out a thin line of elephants returning.
