These newly editioned lithographs were produced in collaboration with Mark Atwood, Leshoka Legate and Jackie Tsila at The Artists’ Press in White River. There are 20 numbered prints on Rives paper in each edition, individually signed and stamped.
There’s something powerful and spiritual about a magnificent tree. Looking upwards, the branches lead our eyes upwards as if towards heaven. Like gazing up at the spire of a cathedral. Or in modern times, a skyscraper. I have tried to capture this, as well as the feeling I have of being in the presence of an ancient spirit. Of something I can’t understand living through those mighty branches. To bring attention to their silent beauty, in a world where things need to shout to be observed.
